Pukeko Craft Day!

"Yay! Yesterday it was Craft Day." In Miss Tait's class we did masks. I tried not to burn myself. We did it for our inquiry which is challenge. In Room 13 I sewed my buttons on my top it was hard for me and then I could do it. When I did my sock puppet, I put two eyes on it, a bow, and a star.

Kereru Team Market Day

"Yay it's Market Day!" I got lots of food. The Kereru Team was fundraising money to support Christchurch. There was lots of activities on the field. I got my face painted and it is a beautiful rainbow with glitter.

Geometry

In class we have been learning about Geometry. This is a huge topic and the first part we are looking at is 3D shapes. We have are learning the names for different 3D shapes like cones, pyramids, spheres, cuboids, cylinders and rectangular prisms. We have been spotting these different shapes in everyday objects around the classroom and home. 

Celebration Wheelay

Today for Celebration we had a Wheelay. It was great to see everyone trying their very best zooming around the wheel. Well done to the team who came first they then had a race with the teachers and the parents at the end and the children managed to win! 


Reminder to all that it is term 4 and we all need to bring hats!

Grasshopper Tennis

This term we have two instructors coming into our school to teach us tennis. We had lots of fun learning how to hold the tennis racquet and using it to control the ball. Then we practiced hitting the tennis ball over the net. We have tennis every Tuesday.
